Meet Shanti

Karen "Shanti" Caiazzo is E-RYT500 and lives in JP with her cat. Karen has been meditating and studying with Meditation Master Shri Shambhavananda for nearly ten years. Having a direct connection with a Maha Mandaleshwar has been a boon for Karen's teaching and practice.

Karen also enjoys cooking with friends, riding her bike, learning the harmonium, and zipping around Boston in her Impreza. Karen was originally trained in Hatha Yoga in 2008 at the Konalani Yoga Ashram on the Big Island of Hawaii. She has also taken the O2 Astanga/Vinyasa 200hr TT with Mimi Loureiro, Barrett Reinhorn's Prenatal TT, and Lisa Flynn's Childlight TT here in Boston. Karen completed her RYT-500 with the Shambhava School of Yoga in the summer of 2015 with focuses on Vinyasa Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda.

Karen has been known to spend time on yoga ashrams, and some even call her "Shanti." She has a daily meditation practice and a sincere love for teaching meditation. Karen is a dynamic teacher, able to meet the needs of students of all ages and ability levels in a variety of modalities. It is unlikely that you will leave her class without cracking at least one smile. Chances are, you will have also tried at least one new thing, and experienced at least one moment of connection with your own inner magic.

Yoga & Meditation teach us that we don't need to repeat the stories in our heads, we don't need to review every situation, we don't have to fix this or suppress that. In fact, meditation trains us to let that junk go. This is what Shanti wants the most for her students. We should really just breathe more. We can focus our energy on what is possible, rather than how we feel it is supposed to be.
